Our Study will supply the information necessary to rationalize the nation's workforce. Without more complete data on domestic industrial and business conditions, labor needs as well as better information on available immigrant labor pools, the task of fully-integrating our workforce shouldered by industry and economic development agencies will be inefficient and halting. Several pieces are missing that would make the present gamut of studies and analysis complete. We lack in-depth descriptions of the types of skills required to satisfy present job vacancies and there is a dearth of data describing the skills within the immigrant population. As these datasets do not exist neither does the analysis that would correlate the two. Our goal is to produce and analyze the data in our final report so that policy makers, business owners and industry leaders will be better prepared to make informed decisions.
